Capitol Market is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to support the upkeep and daily operations of our outdoor market. This role is essential to ensuring our market remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for vendors and customers alike.
Employment Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Flexible)
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs around the market (minor carpentry, painting, fixtures, etc.)
- Assist with setup and breakdown of vendor spaces, tents, and equipment
- Maintain outdoor grounds, including cleaning, trash removal, and seasonal tasks (snow removal, leaf blowing, etc.)
- Support special events with logistics, setup, and teardown
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, or handyman tasks as needed (with support from contractors for larger jobs)
Qualifications
- General handyman/maintenance skills required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or outdoor labor preferred
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends
Compensation:
W9 Contractor; $15/hour
