Position Title: Network Communicator

About the Role
The West Virginia Small Business Development Center (WV SBDC) is seeking a creative and driven Network Communicator to lead strategic communications for both WV SBDC and WV BusinessLink. This role promotes our statewide mission of empowering entrepreneurs and small business owners by delivering impactful messaging across web, media, print, and social platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic marketing and communications plans
- Manage content for websites, newsletters, press releases, and social media
- Coordinate media relations and public engagement, including with the WV Department of Commerce
- Oversee advertising efforts and branding consistency across platforms
- Collaborate with partners to promote shared small business initiatives
- Support outreach at conferences, expos, and community events
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
- Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills
- Experience with WordPress, Constant Contact, and social media platforms preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities
- Understanding of small business or entrepreneurial ecosystems a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field preferred

Pay: $45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
