POSITION SUMMARY
To creatively prototype and develop interactive on-site and outreach exhibits. The candidate will
also provide ongoing maintenance of all exhibits to ensure high quality visitor experiences both
at the Center and during outreach visits. Install outreach exhibits in communities around West
Virginia and surrounding regions. Position reports to Exhibit Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Exhibit Prototyping and Maintenance
- Design, develop, and construct exhibits for public use at the Clay Center and off-site outreach installations.
- Maintain exhibits by establishing maintenance schedules, tracking, and following maintenance issues and solve problems with exhibits as they arise to keep exhibits operational.
- Update current exhibits and design new experiences to keep the Center’s exhibits fresh and relevant.
- Participate in conceptual development of new exhibitions and continual enrichment of the visitor experience.
Outreach
- Install temporary outreach exhibits in various communities throughout the state and region.
- Oversee upkeep and maintenance of outreach exhibits.
- Operate and track maintenance of outreach vehicle(s).

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: A technical degree in related fields or equivalent experience.
Experience: Three to seven years related experience including operating hand and power tools. Knowledge and experience of electronic circuit design, prototyping and testing.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
