Architect

Edward Tucker Architects, Inc. is searching for a full-time Architect who shares our passion for design to join our team in Huntington, West Virginia. We are searching for applicants to further our pursuit to provide exceptional design and service to a diverse range of clients and project types that include health care, higher education, research laboratories, K-12, libraries, museums, and renovation/adaptive reuse.  The ideal candidate will oversee the entire construction project life cycle. You will manage the design team throughout all stages of projects and showcase strong design, interpersonal, and technical abilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate conceptual designs and illustrate through sketches and renderings using Autodesk Revit
• Generate detailed construction documents
• Coordinate the work of consulting engineers
• Meet target deadlines
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, design team and construction team
• Perform field visits and construction administration tasks

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor of Architecture degree or equivalent
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, 3D rendering and visualization
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication and problem solving skills
• Strong technical expertise related to design and construction
• Highly motivated, collaborative, and possessing a professional work ethic

Preferred

• Master of Architecture degree or equivalent
• CSI specification writing

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this role starts at $50,000-95,000, and is negotiable depending on experience. Salaries are supplemented by annual bonuses based on firm profit. Benefits include paid time off plus 6 holidays, annual bonus, 401(k) plan & profit sharing, health insurance plus medical reimbursement account, dental/vision/disability insurance, and AIA membership.
