Job Summary

The Coordinator Campaign Operations reports to the Vice President Development Operations and Strategy and plans, organizes and implements the logistical and operational aspects of the WVU Foundation’s comprehensive fundraising campaign to ensure efficiency and a positive donor experience.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develops a thorough and complete understanding of the campaign to be able to address questions and comments appropriately, and knows when to consult with leadership on issues requiring additional information or approval.
  • Supports the work of the Vice President Development Operations and Strategy with planning, organizing and implementing steps to manage the campaign.
  • Communicates and interacts with University and unit leadership, fundraising staff, faculty, students, volunteers and other key individuals about the campaign on a regular basis.
  • Serves as point of contact for unit and central development officers and other staff for the campaign.
  • Organizes meetings with leadership of the University and the Foundation, prepares agendas and materials for staff campaign meetings as needed.
  • Serves as a point of contact for campaign volunteers in helping to plan and manage their activities so they can successfully carry out their role in the campaign.
  • Assists with the management and planning of campaign-related activities. This including but is not limited to campaign summits, public phase kick-off event, cultivation events with WVU and WVUF leadership, stewardship opportunities in conjunction with the Donor Engagement program, milestones during the campaign and an end-of-campaign celebration.
  • Tracks campaign expenses and provides updates on the campaign budget.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Vice President Development Operations and Strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, fundraising or related field.

Physical requirements

Work Environment: Position is expected to primarily be in-person, but over time, hybrid may be acceptable in alignment with the WVUF work/telecommuting policy.  Travel is required at times for this position.
