Position Overview

The Director of Partnerships is a key leadership role at CONTACT Rape Crisis Center, serving as both a strategic partner to the Executive Director and a visible ambassador in the community.

This position strengthens CONTACT’s sustainability by building strong relationships with donors, partners, and community leaders; driving fundraising and development strategies; and supporting organizational growth.

This role is designed as an “assistant director” position, blending external engagement with internal leadership responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities

Development & Fundraising

  • Lead CONTACT’s development and fundraising strategy to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Create and execute an annual development plan focused on donor engagement, cultivation, and retention.
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations through annual giving, sponsorships, and grant opportunities.
  • Oversee Little Green Light (LGL) donor management system and the Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP).
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with major donors, corporate sponsors, and funding partners.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to strengthen their role in fundraising and community engagement.
  • Oversee special events and ensure they align with CONTACT’s mission and development goals.
  • Develop and track proposals and reports for foundation and corporate giving.

Partnerships & Community Engagement

  • Serve as CONTACT’s representative in the community, building relationships with local organizations, businesses, and civic leaders.
  • Develop new partnerships that expand CONTACT’s visibility, reach, and collaborative opportunities.
  • Attend networking events, community meetings, and coalition gatherings to represent CONTACT’s mission and services.
  • Advocate for CONTACT’s mission in the community
  • Meet annually with state legislators to educate them on CONTACT’s work

Organizational Leadership & Strategy

  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for funders.
  • Support the Executive Director in day-to-day management and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with other leadership on budgeting, performance monitoring, and organizational health.
  • Identify and address resource needs, capacity gaps, or process improvements.
  • Support grant reporting, compliance, and donor communications as needed.
  • Serve as Acting Executive Director in the absence of the Executive Director.

  • People-person who is naturally able to rally others to a cause
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
  • Experience in development, sales, or a related field
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising, sales, donor cultivation, endowments, or relationship management.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead collaboratively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with donor management software or advanced computer skills a plus
  • Understanding trauma-informed, mission-driven nonprofit work is a plus.
  • Must be able to maintain a good working relationship with people of various backgrounds, including lower-income people, those in active addiction or recovery, doctors, nurses, law enforcement, government officials, and employees of other organizations. CONTACT does not discriminate against any survivor of sexual violence or stalking.
  • No background of violent crimes, crimes against children, or crimes that violate the Victims of Crime Act.

Job Type: Full-time
