About the Position:
The Impact & Accountability Officer is responsible for strengthening WV CASA’s grants management,
compliance, and impact reporting systems. This position plays a key role in ensuring accountability for pass- through funding while providing technical support to local CASA programs.
This role leads the selection and implementation of updated grants management software system, reviews and reconciles grant reporting from local CASA programs, and analyzes statewide data to strategically showcase the impact of CASA advocacy across West Virginia.
Essential Responsibilities:
Grants Management Systems & Infrastructure
- Selects, implements, and maintains a grants management software system
- Develops standardized reporting tools, timelines, and documentation requirements for statewide grants
- Trains WV CASA staff and local program leaders on system use and grant reporting expectations
- Maintains organized grant records to support monitoring, audits, and funder inquiries
Grant Review, Reconciliation & Compliance
- Reviews all grant applications, reports, and supporting documentation submitted by local CASA programs
- Reconciles programmatic and financial grant data to ensure accuracy and compliance with grant requirements
- Identifies discrepancies or compliance concerns and works collaboratively with local programs to resolve issues
- Supports WV CASA’s oversight responsibilities as a pass-through entity
Data Analysis & Impact Reporting
- Aggregates and analyzes data from local program grant reports to identify trends, outcomes, and statewide impact
- Supports the development of impact summaries, dashboards, and reports for funders, partners, and policymakers
- Uses data to inform strategic planning, funding decisions, and network-wide support efforts
- Ensures consistency in how impact is measured, tracked, and communicated across the network
Impact Storytelling & Strategic Support
- Translates quantitative and qualitative data into clear, accessible narratives that reflect the real impact of CASA advocacy
- Supports WV CASA’s grant reports, annual reports, legislative materials, and public-facing communications
- Collaborates with leadership to align data reporting with WV CASA’s broader advocacy and narrative goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in nonprofit management, public administration, accounting, social sciences, or a related field.
- Education requirements may be supplanted and/or augmented by professional experience in grants management, compliance, data analysis, or nonprofit administration.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in grants management, reporting, or compliance.
- Experience selecting, implementing, or managing grants management software strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for funder and stakeholder audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration platforms.
- Ability to work respectfully and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and across a statewide network..
