As an Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer, you keep the lights on so everyone else can pretend the lights just stay on by themselves. Build and maintain the cloud infrastructure that makes PerfectHire actually, you know, work. You’ll automate deployments, monitor systems, and occasionally explain to the team why we can’t just “spin up another server real quick.” Ideal candidates find joy in YAML files and have made peace with being paged at inconvenient times.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure within Terraform codebases.
• Develop modules and patterns to scale infrastructure.
• Evaluate technical direction to ensure compliance and security best practices
• Communicate and document tooling pain points, work to develop resolutions and
  implement fixes and regression tests
• Manage developer feedback, document and organize data to improve software
  development processes
• Design and implement modular cloud infrastructure and developer focused tools
• Uphold and maintain service reliability and security standards

Requirements

• Experience with relevant cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with containerization tooling (Docker, Podman)
• Basic experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Workflows, AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Familiarity with software testing concepts and methodology
• Familiarity with internet application technology and patterns (HTTPS, REST, etc.)

Bonus points

• Experience with small to medium scale Terraform codebases
• Experience with the Nix programming language
• Experience implementing advanced CI/CD workloads (GitHub Hosted Runners)
• Strong writing and commutation skills.
