Outside Sales

Mason & Barry

Position Purpose:

Develop and maintain a network of contacts and assigned customers to provide a pipeline of opportunities to meet divisional & company sales goals.  Have a working knowledge of the local market, our competition, our clients needs while promoting Mason & Barry, Inc. products through sales calls, presentations, & factory visits.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and Adhere to Mason & Barry, Inc. values
  • Manage collective accounts
  • Provide high level of customer service in a timely effective manner
  • Develop a technical knowledge and understanding of Mason & Barry, Inc. products
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with our products & services
  • Act as a first responder for customer questions regard products and services
  • Assist in bidding take-offs, pricing, and quotations
  • Collaborate with co-workers on project strategy and execution
  • Develop, maintain, and mange relations ships with consulting & design engineers.
  • Educate clients non product offerings and their application
  • Provide clients with equipment recommendations, selections, specifications, pricing, and any other required detail information.
  • Coordinate scheduling equipment start-up and warranty-related issues
  • Work closely with manufacturers to resolve issues that arise
  • Have a working knowledge of WORD & EXCEL along with basic computer skills
  • Develop and execute successful sales plans with core customers

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but NOT required
  • 2 or more years experience in the HVAC industry preferred but NOT required
  • High developed interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Technical competency with engineering-related subjects

Work Conditions:

  • Normal office environment
  • Moderate lifting may be required to move equipment, files, and supplies
  • Moderate travel may be required at times (training sales meetings)
  • Occasional work in outside weather conditions

Reports to: Divisional Director
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
