The Population Health Database Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data received from multiple external and internal sources across the Network. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding data integrity, validating incoming data files, and standardizing data for use in downstream systems, analytics, and reporting. The focus of this position is on data quality and structure, not system maintenance or direct data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Review, validate and reconcile data received from payors and other external partners.
  • Identify discrepancies, anomalies, and missing data and coordinate with source teams to resolve issues.
  • Monitor recurring data feeds to ensure timely and accurate ingestion.
  • Develop and maintain processes to standardize data formats, definitions, and structures across multiple sources.
  • Establish and maintain validation rules and workflows that ensure accuracy prior to data being integrated into analytic tools or population health platforms.
  • Provide transparency on data quality issues, root causes, and remediation efforts.
  • Analyze and interpret clinical, financial, and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with Population Health IT and Clinical teams to ensure clean, standardized data is available for performance measurement, care management, and reporting.
  • Assist with vendor and payor files testing and implementation of new data feeds.
  • Collaborate with care teams, operations, and leadership to define data requirements and deliver insights that support value-based care initiatives.
  • Support regulatory reporting and compliance, including measures for programs such as MSSP ACO, HEDIS, and MIPS.
  • Transmit secure data to external partners in accordance with company security protocols, ensuring compliance with all data protection policies.
  • Communicate identified issues, risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other query languages for data ingestion, validation, standardization, and reconciliation.
  • Ability to build and maintain Symantec Models, temporally layered, for PowerBI and other related systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including power query, pivot tables, lookup functions, and large dataset manipulation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.

Must possess a valid US Driver’s License
