Position Description:
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources GIS and Technical Support Program integrates
geospatial and other technologies to support wildlife and natural resources management and
conservation. The Records Archival Intern will contribute to a larger effort to streamline and
modernize record-keeping in the agency by converting paper records to digital, ensuring the
preservation, accessibility, and utility of historical documents relating to wildlife regulations,
policies, and research. The Internship will provide the opportunity to pursue a project of personal
interest to foster skills development and demonstrate a learning achievement.

Work Conditions and Housing:
The work is in an office setting, 40 hours per week for about 13 weeks. Physical requirements
include sitting for periods of time working on a computer. Uniforms are provided. Shared bunk
housing is available for free at the Elkins Operations Center, and includes access to a full kitchen.
