Member Duties:
Those who choose to spend their term with THRIVE Corps will serve with The Hub and its partner organizations to build concentrated capacity in projects that kickstart local economic growth, address public health, and support community engagement. Activities will vary within positions, but will typically include: – Research – Material creation – Relationship building – Recruitment system development – Partnership cultivation – Volunteer management – Stakeholder engagement – Fundraising

Service Description:
THRIVE Corps, The Hub’s AmeriCorps VISTA program, is guided by the belief that when communities are equipped with Teamwork and Hope for Remarkable Innovators and Vibrant Economies, incredible strides towards ending generational poverty can be achieved. The THRIVE Corps will serve projects that will lay a meaningful foundation for long-term capacity building in projects that work to end generational poverty in West Virginia and Central Appalachia. A variety of service opportunities will be available for in THRIVE Corps across West Virginia. This is a great way to enter the nonprofit and Economic Development workforce! Opportunities are available in the following geographic areas: – Greenbrier County – Nicholas County – Mason County – McDowell County – Grant County – Fayette County – Buckhannon – Charleston – Wheeling – as well as a handful of statewide opportunities that can be based from anywhere in WV.
