Nandi Awad, Career Connector Program Manager

Nandi comes to GWV from an array of ventures ranging from career coaching to teaching college students. She has proudly represented her state everywhere she goes and utilized this to educate others on the culture and environment of the state. Nandi was raised in Berkeley County and enjoyed growing up playing soccer and traveling up and down the east coast for tournaments. Her love for sports transformed into Nandi attending Marshall University and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Marketing. She then went on to earn her Masters of Science in Sports Administration.


Through the ups and down of life, Nandi explored numerous career paths and saw the need for more diversity in higher education and consultive work spaces. She has spent the last seven years working with students in advising capacities. Nandi has a strong passion for helping people create individualized education and career plans to assist them with finding their professional purpose. This extended to her striving to assist student, employers, staff, and so many others find gainful employment in a healthy, informed way.


Nandi is very excited to be a part of the Generation West Virginia team to help our residents have visibility to jobs and be prepared for the workforce. With her expertise in career coaching, resume writing, training, and business development, she is ready to help bridge the gap between young professionals and companies looking for fresh talent!
