Legislative policy coordination (50% of the time) – The position will work with constituents to develop a platform of agriculture-related and food/nutrition security-oriented policy issues. This will involve hosting forums, webinars, and roundtable discussions, as well as researching issues and drafting relevant bill/rule language. The position will also work with policy makers to advance policy priorities and coordinate Food for All, a working group of food/nutrition security advocates that meets bi-monthly.
Communications (50% of the time) – The position will work with staff to develop and execute communications strategies, writing op-eds, social media posts, and programmatic one-pagers. Tools like Levitate and Canva Pro will be utilized. The position will also maintain all of the Coalition’s web pages hosted on Wix.
