This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt, non-classified at will staff position.

Salary: $50,000-$60,000/year contingent upon education and experience. This position is grant funded. The position is expected to last for the duration of the grant.

Summary: Provides oversight and management of skilled trades and industrial technologies programs, to include building and maintaining external partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Strong organizational, leadership and management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to both manage and lead. Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Experience with DOL Registered Apprenticeships preferred. The successful candidate will show evidence of effective communication (interpersonal, speaking and writing) skills, a commitment to continued professional growth, and the ability to use technology as a tool. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to supporting a diverse college community and show evidence of commitment to the philosophy of a comprehensive, learning-centered community college.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and management of skilled trades and industrial technologies programs, including scheduling, instruction, and assessment.
  • Cultivate community relationships and coordinate programming with outside organizations.
  • Develop and coordinate DOL Registered Apprenticeship programs and paid on-the-job training for new and current programs.
  • Communicate with appropriate organizations, associations, and government agencies.
  • Facilitate Advisory Committees for each program.
  • Collaborate with other workforce development and academic affairs staff and faculty.
  • Participate in recruiting and community outreach activities.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team.
  • Travel on behalf of the College, as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
