GWV has been instrumental in several policy wins over the last decade.

The Young Entrepreneur Reinvestment Act

GWV’s work in opening up career pathways for young people includes successful advocacy on the Young Entrepreneur Reinvestment Act. This bill waives filing fees for entrepreneurs under 30 who want to start their own business here in WV.

The Broadband Bill

Alongside AARP, Generation WV and other stakeholders advocated for the first piece of comprehensive broadband access legislation that had been passed in the state in decades. This legislation primarily enabled the establishment of cooperatives in the state.
