Carolyn Cabral

I’m a writer, editor, and data analyst who is passionate about turning research into clarity, insight, and meaningful action. I enjoy exploring the reasons behind the trends, using my skills in analytics to get at the roots of problems, and making evidence-based recommendations to solve them.

In my current role at NewForce, I clean, analyze, and visualize complex datasets using SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, and Tableau, both individually and as part of a collaborative team. I thrive on uncovering patterns, telling the story behind the numbers, and crafting clear, easy-to-understand presentations that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.

Before entering data analytics, I spent more than a decade as a writer, editor, and team leader, honing my communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to distill complex ideas into engaging, accessible content. I am comfortable with complex medical, scientific, technical, and legal terminology, along with translating complex concepts and terms into language that is easily understood by the general public. My work has run the gamut, from web content and blog posts to scripts, press releases, and communications with legislators.

I particularly enjoy working on anything with a pro-social mission. If it helps people, animals, or the environment, I’m in! I have interest and experience working on projects in science, medicine, education, psychology, sociology, political advocacy, sustainability, conservation, violence prevention, and many other topics. I look forward to combining my data analytics skills with my previous education and experience to help organizations make a meaningful difference in the world.
