Jen Iskow, Marketing and Communications Manager

Jen Iskow joined Generation West Virginia as the Marketing and Communications Manager in June 2024. She is a skilled designer and communications consultant with over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector within the Appalachian region. She comes to the organization after many years of growing her own successful agency and offering a wide range of marketing services, including brand management, design, consulting, and publishing.

Jen graduated from West Virginia University in 2014 with a degree in Design & Merchandising and a specialized minor in Sustainable Design and Development. Her passion for creative storytelling began at Augusta Heritage Center in Elkins, WV, where she served as Marketing Coordinator. Later, she moved on to serve as a Strategic Planning VISTA at Appalshop in Whitesburg, KY. Her career trajectory in the arts inspired her to find new and innovative ways to represent and support businesses and organizations throughout West Virginia. She has since led the marketing and fundraising initiatives at Creature Gallery in Thomas, WV, and has used her skills and expertise in roles within organizations like ArtSpring and the Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area.

Jen is passionate about helping people in the Mountain State bring their visions to life and shine a light on all that our incredible state has to offer. She currently lives in Tucker County with her son, Everan, and her dog, Marcel.
