Jimmy Boggs

Hi, I’m Jimmy Boggs — a data analyst and GIS specialist passionate about using maps and data to solve real-world problems and support better decision-making.

Whether it’s helping a local government improve emergency response with accurate address mapping, or identifying broadband gaps to support digital equity funding, I thrive at the intersection of geography, data, and impact.

Most recently, I’ve been deepening my skills through the NewForce Data Analytics program, an intensive, full-time training that focuses on tools like Excel, Python, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI. Through this program, I’ve built dashboards, cleaned and visualized real-world datasets, and used data to tell meaningful stories — the kind that can help organizations make smarter, more informed decisions.

Before that, I served as the Broadband Community Coordinator for Generation West Virginia, where I analyzed internet access data to highlight underserved communities and support grant applications. I’ve also created cadastral and emergency management maps for local government and worked closely with county assessors and 911 services to ensure accurate property and address data.

My background combines technical know-how with a strong sense of purpose — whether that’s helping a small nonprofit navigate grant requirements or supporting community leaders with clear, actionable data. I enjoy building tools that make data easier to understand, and I’m always looking for opportunities where maps and analytics can make a real difference.
