Position Title: Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Instructor
The Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC), formerly called RCBI, is accepting resumes for a Technical Trainer that will be based at MAMC-Huntington with additional duties at the Marshall Ohio Valley location in Point Pleasant.
Position Type: Full-time, grant funded, exempt position. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications: Must have a minimum of five years’ work experience in a manufacturing field involving electrical, electronics, fluid power, motors, and control systems. Must be proficient in diagnosis and troubleshooting of equipment and the have the ability to maintain equipment. Strong oral and written skills combined with a team-player attitude are required. Interested individuals must display self-initiative and the ability to work in a team environment. Must be willing to travel statewide to conduct training and visit manufacturing companies to advise on MAMC service offerings. May use a combination of education, certification, and years of experience to substitute for degrees and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in a technical field. Hands-on instruction or training experience is preferred. Oversight and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Primary Duties: Designing and providing customized training to meet industry demand; assisting with instruction of Advanced Manufacturing Program centered on the installation, inspection, and maintenance of equipment in a typical manufacturing environment; instructing students on a day-to-day basis; developing lessons plans; maintaining student attendance and test records; and maintaining equipment and inventory of supplies. Working with the MAMC Industry Advisory Council to maintain industry standards and working with local and regional customizers to meet training needs and ensure the latest technologies are available. Lead in maintaining a safe and clean facility, assuring all safety procedures are followed. Travel will be required, and the candidate may split time at classroom locations within the service district.
Additional Responsibilities: Assisting with technical services and maintenance of MAMC equipment; assisting industrial sector to develop and enhance the regions’ industrial capabilities, assisting with job placement and recruiting activities for program participants, and performing other duties as assigned.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Highly qualified applicants may earn up to $65,000.
