Organization Description
West Virginia Women Work (WVWW) is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting and advocating for the education, employment, and economic equity of all women. WVWW operates workforce development and pre-apprenticeship training programs across West Virginia, with a focus on skilled trades, economic mobility, recovery-to-workforce pathways, and serving rural and historically underserved communities.
WVWW is in an exciting period of growth, expansion, and systems development, including the launch of a new headquarters and workforce training HUB in Fairmont, WV.
Position Summary
The Bookkeeper & Office Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of WVWW. This position plays a key role in maintaining organized financial records, supporting payroll and grant tracking processes, managing office operations, and helping ensure the organization runs smoothly and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic nonprofit environment where priorities may shift quickly.

Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Fairmont, WV with flexible scheduling and limited remote work opportunities.
WV Women Work is a collaborative, mission-driven organization where staff frequently wear multiple hats and work closely together to solve problems, support participants, and build systems that create long-term impact.

They understand that behind every receipt, reimbursement request, payroll entry, and organized file system is a program serving real people across West Virginia. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating structure, consistency, and organization that allows staff and programs to operate effectively.
This person is adaptable, willing to learn, comfortable using technology and organizational systems, and able to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and follow-through. They do not need to know everything on day one, but they should be proactive, resourceful, and willing to grow with the organization.
