Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area
Located in Elkins, WV, AFNHA is seeking a person to assist in the development and implementation of educational, outreach, and programming on topics in alignment with AFNHA’s themes and mission. Subject matter may include environment, history, heritage, culture, science, and others . Member will support projects and events across our region, and coordinate volunteer and national service efforts among AFNHA partners and AmeriCorps. The successful candidate will have experience and desire to develop and present enrichment activities to audiences of all ages, as well as attend events regionally to introduce visitors to the programs and mission of AFNHA and its partners. This position requires travel.
Potential projects include presenting to school groups or community organizations, organizing activities or displays at public events, or coordinating partner work projects such as tree plantings.
