Role: Executive Director, Women’s Health Center of West Virginia
Role Type: Full Time, Exempt, Salaried
Annual Salary Range: $110,000 – $125,000 per year, to be determined by experience plus benefits.
Women’s Health Center of West Virginia (WHC) is a private, nonprofit healthcare facility committed to providing high-quality, non-judgmental, accessible, and affordable sexual and reproductive healthcare and harm reduction to all West Virginians. WHC is seeking a collaborative and engaging Executive Director who will oversee the operations, finances, staff management, and strategic direction of our multi-site organization. This is an in-person, full-time (40+ hours per week) exempt position based in Charleston, West Virginia.
About WHC: Founded in 1976 as West Virginia’s first abortion provider, WHC WV has been a leader in sexual and reproductive health. The clinic was the only abortion provider remaining in West Virginia at the time of the Dobbs decision in June 2022. Despite the challenging landscape, WHC WV continued offering essential healthcare services, including annual exams, cancer screenings, many methods of contraception, and STI testing and treatment. In July 2022, we expanded our services to include gender-affirming hormone therapy for trans and gender-diverse patients. In 2023, WHC WV opened a subsidiary clinic in rural Western Maryland to ensure access to abortion care in the region post-Dobbs and simultaneously launched a harm reduction program in West Virginia to address the overdose crisis and the spread of HIV/HCV in the state. In 2026, the WHC MD clinic separated from the WHC WV clinic.
