Full Charge Bookkeeper

We build housing for working families and seniors, renovate downtown structures, develop community amenities like trails and gathering places, and finance new and growing small businesses in the region.

Job Summary
Woodlands Development & Lending is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of a full charge bookkeeper based in Elkins, WV. This position will enter, and supervise entry, of daily transactions and journal entries for multiple entities and other duties including:

• Maintain QuickBooks accounting system including payroll, AR, AP and full general ledger maintenance. Familiarity with the interaction of QuickBooks Chart of Accounts, Items, Classes, Customers and Vendors is helpful.
• Record, document and process transactions and organize supporting documentation using online filing system.
• Prepare payroll tax reports and reconcile accounts on a regular basis.

Qualifications include, first and foremost, a strong desire to be part of a mission-led effort to build opportunity in North Central WV communities. Other qualifications include:

• A background in non-profit accounting and grant management;
• A degree or extensive experience in accounting or finance;
• Fluency in Quickbooks;
• An ability to generate thorough financial statements, and communicate financial
  information to a variety of professional and non-professional audiences.
