Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surveyor Technician to support a new development project — a large-scale site with complex boundary, topographic, and construction survey needs. The successful candidate will plan and conduct professional land surveys, provide accurate data for design and construction, and collaborate with engineering and construction teams to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Field Survey & Data Collection
- Perform boundary, topographic, control, and construction staking (locating pile locations for solar ground installation) surveys using advanced instruments (GPS, total stations).
- Establish and maintain survey control points and verify elevations and measurement precision.
- Conduct survey work related to roads, utility corridors, grading limits, and site features.
Data Processing & Mapping
- Process field data and prepare detailed plats, maps, and legal descriptions for project and permitting purposes.
- Operate drone including arial survey and LiDAR.
- Knowledgeable of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial analysis, mapping, and geodatabase management.
- Use CAD/GIS and survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center) to produce accurate survey deliverables.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, construction teams, and stakeholders to integrate survey deliverables into project plans.
- Provide survey information that supports civil design, permitting, and construction sequencing.
Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain accurate field notes, records, and documentation of survey activities and data.

Qualifications
Preferred
- Boundary and construction project work.
- Proficiency with Drones, GPS, total station measurements, and survey data processing tools (CAD/GIS).
- Strong understanding of legal descriptions, boundary law, and regulatory survey requirements.
- Experience with large infrastructure or developments.
- Familiarity with West Virginia land use, permitting, and record research.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

- Outdoor fieldwork is required; work may occur in varied weather and terrain.
- Combination of office and field duties will support overall project needs.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote sites as needed.
