Job Title:
Maintenance Planner
Summary:
The Maintenance Planner’s primary responsibility is the planning and scheduling of all resources to ensure safe and efficient execution of all maintenance work, thus keeping plant equipment in condition to deliver full design capacity and reliability, optimizing assets profitability for the life of the organization. A major part of this role is executing upon an efficient preventive maintenance program and working closely with all members of the maintenance team in achieving these objectives.
Responsibilities Include:
EHS
- Ensures strict adherence and compliance of site, local, and global EHS regulations within areas of responsibility, supporting production, and facility maintenance
- Ensure all requirements of Momentive’s EHS Management System are in compliance within area of responsibility.
- Responsible for compliance of EHS regulations and requirements both internally and externally for installation/modification of site facilities and production process within area of responsibility.
- Identify and prioritize environmental improvement opportunities.
- Build up short term programs based on EHS requirements to meet existing facility and process needs
- Support MOC and Mechanical Integrity activities at the site
- Accountable for 100% completion of annual training
Compliance
- Within Area of Responsibility and Scope of Maintenance Planning, ensure production support, facility maintenance, and modification at site are in compliance with local law and Momentive Internal Regulations
- Ensure operation within boundaries of existing permit
- Build sustainable and trusted Relationship to Permitting Authorities. (Firefighting office, Labor office etc.)
- Ensure proper Documentation for Site (e.g. Permits, MOC Process)
Operations
- Maintenance Planning
- Establish and maintain accurate database & library for facility manufacturing equipment, (BOM’s).
- Clearly define job plans/the scope of work to be performed.
- Establish the preparatory work required prior to scheduled equipment down time.
- Develop a detailed job plan with all the work sequences involved to adequately complete the repairs, as well as equipment downtime and man-hours required.
- Determine and list all the safety procedures associated with the work to be performed.
- Provide a parts list with reference stock item numbers and exact location for every work order and ensure that all required parts are in stock before job scheduling.
- Ensure all technical specifications and special instructions are provided on paper to the craftsmen Supervisor.
- Provide the machinery history information with the job plan, if applicable.
- Determine the cost involved for parts and supplies for each work order.
- Order all non-stock parts and materials as required by the job plan.
- Establish and maintain with the supervisors and the stores department, a system for proper storage of pre-works and parts for pending work.
- Accountable for planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance work to ensure completion on time, in full.
- Participate in continuous improvement, administrative and technical programs, such as cost reduction, 5S, Lean, process improvement, and communication
Plant Productivity & Budget
- Identify and implement cost reduction and maintenance productivity improvement actions/projects.
- Support general monitoring/analysis of plant maintenance and MRO costs, and explain key drivers, adjustments, and variances.
- Proactively address the root cause and build action plans for these areas.
Communications
- Communication with internal/external customers, stakeholders and vendors
- Identifies, communicates and drives implementation of maintenance work
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Associates Degree or Vocational Training and 6 to 7 years of experience or Bachelor Degree with 5 years of experience.
- Experienced in managing team projects
- Working knowledge of Predictive and Preventative Maintenance programs
- Strong safety consciousness, EHS awareness, and familiarity with EHS requirements
- Strong execution skills on daily schedule to support production team
- Demonstrated ability to organize and motivate teams, drive change, and deliver quantifiable maintenance improvements
- Highly motivated and energetic, willing to demonstrate significant ownership in the overall maintenance, production area
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
The following are preferred for the role
- Experience in six sigma, SAP, ISO system
- Practical experience with process optimization, certified Green Belt preferred.
- Previous experience in Chemical Manufacturing
- Experience in API653, API570, ASME Section 8, B31.1 and other regional and local applicable guidelines and standards

This position demands physical stamina, requiring regular sitting, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, turning, grasping, and movement within the facility. Walking on various surfaces and maintaining balance are essential. Strong sensory abilities, including hearing, sight, and clear speech, are necessary. Lifting to 50 pounds may be required. Certain positions may necessitate passing a fit test and wearing a respirator.
The work environment for this position is a manufacturing setting, which may expose employees to outdoor weather conditions and loud noise levels. Candidates must be adaptable and comfortable working in a traditional business environment.
