Proposal & Marketing Content Specialist

The Thrasher Group, Inc. is a full-service architecture, engineering, and field services consulting firm with a rich resume of project success all throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Our team of skilled experts delivers a vast array of professional services to clients across five major markets: architecture, land development, water resources, transportation, and energy.

We are seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented Proposal & Marketing Content Specialist to join our growing Marketing team. This individual will lead the proposal development process for a 350+ person team. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who thrives in a busy, opportunity-rich environment and values working as part of a tight-knit, highly collaborative team.

In this role, you will be asked to:

  • Manage end-to-end proposal efforts, including RFQs, RFPs, and SOQs, from kick-off through submission
  • Write, edit, and tailor proposal content to align with client requirements and firm messaging
  • Collaborate closely with technical staff, project managers, and marketing colleagues to develop strategic, client-focused proposal narratives
  • Contribute to and maintain a shared content library of staff resumes, project descriptions, and boilerplate content
  • Coordinate with team members to manage internal deadlines, content collection, and production schedules
  • Use Adobe InDesign and other Creative Suite tools to design visually appealing proposals and marketing materials
  • Assist in creating graphics, infographics, and visual storytelling tools in coordination with fellow team members
  • Support website content updates and functionality
  • Work with the team to develop and schedule engaging social media content
  • Maintain organization of internal marketing databases and folders, ensuring project sheets, resumes, photos, and graphics are current and accessible
  • Participate in post-submission debriefs and continuous improvement discussions with the broader marketing team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional writing, communications, or marketing role, with preference for proposal coordination or management
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of grammar and style
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and contribute meaningfully to group initiatives
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred
  • Experience with website CMS platforms and social media tools
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit
  • Ability to work both independently and as a supportive member of a close-knit team
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, Cosential, or similar CRM platforms preferred
  • Experience organizing and maintaining shared digital folders and content repositories
