Staff Accountant

What You’ll Do:

As the Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our office. You’ll work closely with leadership and team members to support day-to-day accounting operations, contribute to strategic financial planning, and help build a strong foundation for future growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

Accounting Operations:

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries
• Process payroll and manage vendor relationships
• Administer staff benefit programs (medical, retirement, etc.)
• Process financial representative commissions, fees, and allowances
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and safeguard financial assets
• Manage office banking and quarterly IRS submissions
• Collaborate with external accountants on annual tax filings
• Educate new representatives on compensation structure

Financial Strategy & Office Support:

• Prepare office budgets and forecasts alongside leadership
• Analyze financial statements and recommend corrective actions
• Monitor representative indebtedness and manage collection processes
• Maximize reimbursement opportunities and ensure healthy cash flow

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Experience in accounting, including payroll, benefits, and tax preparation through an internship or previous work experience 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to ethical financial stewardship
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
• Passion for continuous improvement and personal growth
