Summer Kitchen Manager – High Rocks is a growing organization seeking one Kitchen Manager for our summer season. The Kitchen Manager’s responsibilities including providing nutritious and delicious meals for our summer camp programs. This role includes menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, and teaching campers about healthy eating and sustainable food practices. The Kitchen Manager will also facilitate campers’ engagement with Appalachian culinary traditions.

Qualifications:

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Experience in food preparation and kitchen management
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Passion for healthy eating and cooking, nutrition, and sustainable food practices
• Experience teaching or mentoring is a plus.

Time Range and Compensation: This is a contracted, seasonal position running from mid-June through early August. New Beginnings Camp and Camp Steele will be held June 20-July 2 and July 18-August 2, respectively. The contracted Kitchen Manager will receive $6,000 as compensation.
