Summer Kitchen Support – High Rocks is a growing organization seeking one Kitchen Support Staff for our summer season. The Kitchen Support’s responsibilities include providing nutritious and delicious meals for our summer camp programs. This role includes food preparation and inventory, being a mentor and role model for camp participants, and providing support for the Kitchen Manager. The Kitchen Support will also assist in facilitating campers’ engagement with Appalachian culinary traditions.

Qualifications:

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Experience in food preparation
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Passion for healthy eating and cooking, nutrition, and sustainable food practices
• Experience teaching or mentoring is a plus.
• Training is available. If you are unsure whether you meet all qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.

Time Range and Compensation: This is a contracted, seasonal position running from mid-June through early August. New Beginnings Camp and Camp Steele will be held June 20-July 2 and July 18-August 2, respectively. The contracted Kitchen Support will receive $4,000 as compensation.
