THRIVE Corps VISTA Summer Associate Members
THRIVE Corps, The Hub’s AmeriCorps VISTA program, is guided by the belief that when communities are equipped with Teamwork and Hope for Remarkable Innovators and Vibrant Economies, incredible strides towards ending generational poverty can be achieved.
THRIVE Corps Summer Associate VISTAs will lead the completion of short-term capacity building projects that will lay a meaningful foundation for long-term capacity building in projects that work to end generational poverty in West Virginia and Central Appalachia.
A variety of opportunities will be available for the THRIVE Corps Summer Associate Cohort in geographies across West Virginia. This is a great way to enter the nonprofit and Economic Development workforce!

What will I do?
Members who choose to spend their summer as a THRIVE Corps VISTA Summer Associate will serve with The Hub and its partner organizations to build concentrated capacity in projects that kickstart local economic growth. Activities will vary within positions, but will typically include:

Compensation and Benefits
Members receive a biweekly living allowance for 9 weeks of service of approximately $4100, as well as an $1800 education award or smaller cash award upon successful completion. Members also recive invaluable personal and professional development.
Program Dates
Members will report to Charleston for onboarding on June 1st, 2026 and their site on June 2nd, 2026. Service will end on July 31st, 2026
