The Dickinson Group
The Dickinson family has been in business in the state since 1813. The businesses began in the salt industry in Malden, WV, then quickly grew into land acquisition, natural resources and banking. We think generationally, have a deep commitment to the state and how we contribute to the economy. We seek opportunities that have long term benefits to the shareholders and also the wider region. Dickinson Company, LLC is a holding company for the John L. Dickinson family, and historically was the family’s main business enterprise. It is a general partner in Southern Land Company, LP and a partner in Quincy Coal Company, J.L.D. Realty as well as other small companies. Dickinson Company manages assets and investments through those entities in natural resources and real estate.
