NewForce
NewForce is a 4.5 month, fully-remote, tuition-free tech career training program. Our goal is to build a tech economy in WV that works for everyone.
Applications are open for Cohort 10!
Interested in applying for C10 – Data Analytics? Applications are open now until October 14th!
We know that the tech industry will shape the future. We want West Virginians to have a place in that future.
Through our immersive curriculum, NewForce students solve real-world problems, collaborate on teams, and graduate with in-demand data analytics skills. We then leverage employer partnerships to help trainees find their first industry role.
No Experience Required
We train people with no prior experience, prepare them for their first tech job, and help them navigate the search and hiring process for entry-level data analyst roles. NewForce students are people from all different backgrounds—teachers, fast food workers, house painters, and accountants, just to name a few.
Fully Remote
NewForce is full-time and fully virtual. Over the course of the program, students are in a virtual classroom over Zoom with their cohort every weekday from 9am–4pm.
Fast-Paced Immersive Curriculum
The tech industry is constantly changing. The biggest skill students take away from NewForce isn’t any particular technology or tool—it’s the ability to learn quickly and apply what they’ve learned. Our curriculum is constantly updated based on employer feedback to ensure that students are ready to contribute on day one. Students learn something new every day and solve real-world problems with their teammates.
Career Prep and Job Placement
Because we are committed to the total success of our students, NewForce includes a required, comprehensive career prep plan. Students learn to build technical resumes, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, and more. Each student will also complete a mock interview process where they apply, interview, and negotiate offers to fully prepare them for job placement. At the end of each cohort, NewForce hosts Demo Day to celebrate the accomplishments gained throughout the training program. Students demonstrate their solo capstone projects to employers and community partners, providing an additional opportunity to exhibit what they’ve learned.
Try analyzing data!
We train people with no prior experience, prepare them for their first tech job, and connect them with open, entry-level positions here in the Mountain State.
