What to Expect as a Student

Over the course of the program, trainees are in a virtual classroom over Zoom with their cohort every weekday from 9am-4pm. The program also requires significant self-guided learning.

The Virtual Classroom

Instructors are in the classroom full-time, ready to answer any and all questions. Some days will include instructor demonstrations, followed by guided practice and application of concepts. Trainees will also work through our career development curriculum in this virtual space.

Building a Portfolio

NewForce doesn’t have tests or grades. Trainees work on group and individual projects, which they can add to their portfolios to showcase their work to employers. They also design, plan, and build a capstone project to demonstrate to employers.

Who is it for?

NewForce students come from a wide range of backgrounds: we’ve successfully trained construction workers, school teachers, and retail associates, just to name a few! While most of our students are new to the tech industry, they bring a wealth of experience from their previous careers.

Graduates will be qualified to work as data analysts and may fill positions in a variety of industries. NewForce is open to West Virginia residents only.
