Glen Lake Pioneering

Glen Lake Pioneering seeks a part-time marketing intern to develop a
marketing strategy and web presence (website and social) for the company and startups in its venture studio.

Responsibilities include:
• Support of brand identity strategy for Glen Lake and its portfolio companies
• Development of copy, design, and development of websites for Glen Lake
Pioneering and Shelfmark, a portfolio company of Glen Lake
• Development of a social media strategy and content to populate social media feeds for Glen Lake Pioneering and Shelfmark

Glen Lake Pioneering applies prescriptive research, ideation, validation, and product development to create new businesses and commercialize breakthrough technologies.

Qualifications

Background, major, or education level are not considered to qualify candidates for  this position. Instead, candidates should possess the following skills:  

  •  Experience with brand development, bonus points for experience in  technology verticals  
  • Experience writing copy for websites, social media posts, and other  external brand elements 
  • Experience with website design. Bonus points for experience with  thirdparty platforms for website development (Squarespace, WordPress,  etc.) 
  • Demonstrate empathy in conversation 
  • Demonstrate creativity to solve problems in a fast and thrifty manner  necessary to the success of a startup 
  • Demonstrate grit academically, personally, and professionally

Compensation:

Part-time Marketing Interns $15/hour for an undergrad intern, though open to variation for additional experience with consideration for future full-time  employment.
