Nathalie Oates Director of Impact

Nathalie Oates, originally from Richmond, Virginia, joined Generation WV as Director of Impact in September 2022. She brings nearly a decade of nonprofit fundraising experience to her role.

She began her Development career at Richmond Ballet, the State Ballet of Virginia, where she served in a variety of positions during her five year tenure, assisting with fundraising for the Ballet’s unprecedented cultural exchange and tour in China, and securing major grant funding for a $2 million renovation of the School of Richmond Ballet. Over the past several years, Nathalie has worked on fundraising initiatives and special events for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Children’s Museum of Richmond, and most recently, as Director of Development at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA).

Nathalie holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Mount Holyoke College, where she graduated cum laude. She has attended the Summer Publishing Institute at New York University.

Nathalie lives in White Sulphur Springs, where she enjoys getting to know all that Greenbrier County has to offer.
