Director of Business – The Director of Business will report directly to the Executive Director (ED) and serve on a creative Leadership Team with the ED, the Director of Programs, and the Development Director to guide and shape High Rocks as we grow and strengthen.
The Director of Business oversees the flow of money into, through, and out of High Rocks, ensuring integrity, transparency, and compliance with federal and other regulations governing grant and philanthropic investments to improve our communities. They maintain our business systems for communications, technology, collaboration, and record-keeping. The Director of Business is responsible for the creation and deployment of budgets, financial management and accountability policies and procedures, operations and facilities plans, and legal compliance initiatives, including audits. The Director of Business will lead the Office team (Accounting Specialist, Office Manager, Operations Manager, and Grants Manager), and will work directly to support other staff and participants in our programs.
High Rocks operates our transformational programs for young people in West Virginia and beyond with a current budget of $3+ million supporting the work of 22 staff, 65 AmeriCorps members, 80 college students, seasonal staff, and 20 additional earning-and-learning workforce trainees through seven major programs and partnerships across the state. The strength of our Business Office team lies in an unwavering commitment to excellence, a deep understanding of our programs and operations, ongoing training and development of our entire team, and in strong and creative math, technology, and business skills.

Salary: $55,000-75,000, depending on education and experience. Based in Hillsboro, WV, this position is full-time, at-will, with eligibility for benefits including flexible workplace, health, vacation, and retirement, and professional development opportunities.
