Partner Community Capital

Partner Community Capital (PCAP) is looking for a passionate and experienced Energy Program Manager to join their growing organization! As the Energy Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing PCAP’s Energy Initiative program and work collaboratively to build PCAP’s clean energy-related activities. This position is required to travel up to 30% of the time, including overnight travel.

As the Energy Program Manager, you will manage clean energy-related grant funding, including PCAP’s REAP-TAG program; develop and enhance energy-related projects and services; collaborate with PCAP’s Energy Lender; assist leadership with fundraising; support impact measurement and reporting; collaborate on marketing, communications, and outreach to a range of internal and external audiences; and supervise a growing Energy Initiative Team.

The Energy Program Manager reports to the VP & Director of Business Strategy.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or environmental studies, or closely related field, and five (5) or more of progressively responsible project management experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Leadership, people management, and grant management experience preferred.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about renewable energy and efficiency, demonstrate a strong desire to enhance projects and services in this area and bring additional funding and resources to small businesses in the local region. You must have strong communication, project management, and decision-making skills; with the ability to work collaboratively across teams in a virtual setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages PCAP’s Energy Initiative services; provides client support, cost-share grant application guidance, and coordinates contracts.
  • Monitors grant budgets and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborates with leadership and across teams to develop program strategy and product/service enhancements that advance greenhouse gas emission reduction and low-income and disadvantaged communities.
  • Writes and assists on grant proposals and managing relationships with funders.
  • Reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinates across teams on Energy Initiative-related outreach and business development in WV and NC.
  • Cultivates a network of solar developers, efficiency contractors, housing developers, nonprofit partners, government partners and lending partners to drive referrals and program activity.
  • Helps develop a pipeline of clean energy, energy efficiency, and greenhouse gas emission reduction related projects to be financed by PCAP.
  • Works with the Marketing & Social Media Specialist to develop a marketing strategy, create and contribute to outreach materials to promote the activities, outcomes, and successes of PCAP’s Energy Initiative.
  • Selects, onboards, and guides a team of staff and contractors to assist in program implementation as Energy Initiative grows.

Compensation, Benefits, and Location:

The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $88,000; commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, hybrid position; candidates must be located in West Virginia, preferable near Charlestown, WV, or be located in the Raleigh-Durham area (aka The Triangle, North Carolina). Candidate location may impact the amount and type of travel required for this position.
